6:30 to 8:30 Jerry is burning a hole through the universe and Mickey and Brent are along for the ride. Bobby bless his heart is lost from beginning to end.

I agree on all accounts. wasn't trying to agree with ChiefMusicLover's view point, but rather just trying to make a guess of what the other he meant by "lost"

ok - true he almost came in too soon. But that's a far cry from him being "lost from beginning to end". All of the Dead screwed up here and there. The genius of Garcia made for most of the band's magic; but he still forgot lyrics at times. Despite the short shorts and occasional cheesiness, Weir deserves more credit than he usually gets.

Just a guess, but it might have been something to do with trying to come in early in the middle of Jerry's solo

FAVORITE BOBBY OPENER FIRST IT is fucking incredible(this and stranger, especially Brent years) because you knew your were probably getting a Jack/Althea and IT WAS GOING TO BE A GOOD NIGHT. I have thousands of hours & this was one of the better sets musically (lyrically not soo much but they were ripping!), I was a huge 80's and Brent fan imo I thought DonnaGene was talented but less a compliment to Jerry, when Bobby/Jerry /Brent would be trying to out do each other just makes me smile!
