J & D were famous for their rather one-of-a-kind, quirky but appealing sense of humour .. which they very frequently injected into some of their very best surf / hot-rod (& later) songs. When coupled with J & D's A-Class song-composers, plus Jan's rarely-equalled ablity as a singer, harmoniser + producer & trickster in the studio .. hey bingo, you had a winning formula. This song is one such great example. Superb posting !!

I like the new Cadillac hearses they got v8's and dual pipes and sound AWESOME! They don't look too bad either. Probably get one in silver put some torque thrust 2's on it put caps on the headers. take the rollers and stuff out of the back and put a bed in the back and put them curtains to good use! hahaha..

I like the style of the older ambulances/hearses they seem to have more out standing look to them! I had a friend that had a 1969 hearse and when he pulled up in the driveway with it & I thought my neighbor across the street was gonna have a heart attack when she seen the hearse! That was a cool looking hearse & he even slept in a custom made wooden coffin, because he was too tall for a regular bed.. I still have my johan hearse model I built 35 years ago......

Though the '58 Buick at the one-minute mark is actually an ambulance (likey bodied in the Netherlands), the teaming of lite surfin' pop and dignified factory photos works quite well. Including that beautifully carved Japanese hearse was much appreciated also!
