  • @WhiteHouseRenegade "measuring access."

This is exactly what I thought. That's the problem. You can get access in these countries for just about anything if you wait in long lines. People can get anything treated including stuff they don't need while serious care gets rationed (like my grandma in Canada needing to wait 3 months for a scan on a tumor in her breast) Equality in healthcare =/= good.

    "Canada to get cheaper drugs?"

Why do Canadians come down here for surgery?

  • man he really rocked the stage with that answer

  • @JohananRaatz If I am not mistaken, it was measuring access. Most of the periodicals that I viewed including Forbes agreed that the US has a problem with Americans getting access. It's true that countries like Greece, Spain, Portugal, Britain, Ireland, and now France face great uncertainty. However, how is this related to this crisis? For the most part it's a crisis in which the banks were responsible. Why do many of our seniors prefer to go to Canada to get cheaper drugs? Oh right

  • @WhiteHouseRenegade What was this ranking system measuring though, and at what cost? Notice that Europe is much farther down the tubes economically than we are now -and we are in a bad situation ourselves.

"How do you know that our previous system was better?"

Because it will produce rationing and redistribute healthcare -it's designed that way. That's why you need to wait in lines in Canada, and get vital treatments postponed.

  • @JohananRaatz How do you know that it's better than the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) when it's too early to tell? No studies have been done. How do you know that our previous system was better?

  • @JohananRaatz They rated France as having the best health care system. Italy was #2. Japan was #10. The UK was #18. Canada was #30. Several Arab countries were also ahead of the US. There are other sources that say the same thing. All the members of Congress receive universal coverage. That's the taxpayer that foots the bill. Even Cheney was covered when he had heart problems. They didn't deny him coverage, even though he most likely had a pre-existing condition.

  • @WhiteHouseRenegade "the health care system"

What business does the government have running a "healthcare system" in the first place -except maybe for emergencies for poor people. The fact you think this makes you ideologically suspect.

    "just ahead of Cuba"

Where do you think they got Cuba's data from? Trust me, our healthcare is light-years better.

    "system that denies"

No one's saying it's perfect. It's a hell of a lot better than the Obamacare rationing system though.

  • @JohananRaatz Oh you're talking about the health care system that was ranked number 38 by the World Health Organization? The one that was just ahead of Cuba's system? The system that denies coverage to people with "pre-existing conditions" and prefers to let them die? We should keep that system. I'm with you 100%. Makes sense.
