I think one of the biggest downfalls of the SEGA Saturn was that there really was no true Sonic Game.
Sonic R was a racing game, Sonic Jam was a compilation of the SEGA Genesis Sonic Games, and Sonic 3D blast was the Genesis game on the Saturn

Actually, the Saturn ended up selling more units that Christmas alone than its previous two Christmas seasons combined. This bundle promotion actually did an excellent job of getting them back into the race against Sony and Nintendo, but unfortunately SOA didn't know how to build off of it as Bernie Stollar was a complete dumbass.

Ah good times. I remember I used to watch the Sonic cartoons on tv and then at the store one day I saw Sonic Jam for Saturn and thought OMG SONIC video game. And thats what got me hooked on Saturn
