Most intriguing, and articulate in many ways. It would incredible to see such devices built. =]

nice! this is technology that would have been unachievable 20yrs ago. or at least not very use-able. with the power of computers today and tomorrow the possibilities are intriguing. although other tech solutions such as v.r. or as is already used do seem more practical. for viewing trends on macro-micro scales. what would i project on to it? wow! possibilities are almost endless. a worth wile project. even if just to realise a dream of R.B.F. bravo.

I am sorry to be the first one to comment, but I must say I see very little practical applications to this. Also, I can not see the advantage to putting data on a sphere like this, and if there was an advantage it would seem insignificant in regards to the space requirement of a basketball court. To anyone that is watching waiting for a real example, none is given in the entire nine minutes.
I appreciate your positive feedback. It certainly would be wonderful to realize a dream of RBF. I am waiting patiently for the a team of like-minded collaborators and the resources to make it happen.

Perhaps it's impossible to come up with an example that is not really difficult to figure out. The idea of using this to predict world trends is kind of an evil agenda.

Predicting world trends is not necessarilly "evil." Statistical trend analysis is used all the time to provide aid during natural disasters, to aid famine victims, and to fight disease. Tools like this used to only be in the hands of War planners. Now it is time to empower the world's citizens with a prediction tool that will allow the entire planet to become a success with the least expenditure of resources and in the shortest time possible.

People looking for practical applications often fall into a category that i call the latter. No offense but regardless of its applications, technology, especially emerging, theoretical, or just plain tomfoolery fascinates me oh so much. 'Abstract' thinking like this is what creates all new technology.

I take this as a compliment (I think) ;-) I am collaborating with several others and we have implemented several 'practical' Spheriphor applications for a large high-tech corporation. The ability to increase pattern recognition of complex, multi-dimensional data sets is proven. We have not yet constructed the rapidly deployable, outside-in dome projection system, but we are working on it...

Thanks for the critical feedback. Fuller's concept for the Geoscope was much larger - to be viewed in a large stadium. This was before the age of personal computers and projection systems. Fuller's wanted to show dynamic world trends to solve Earth issues. My fully portable version also enables a fully-immersive experience similar to that available in over 250 digital domes in America alone. A wide range of science, art and film are being shown on these digital domes for several years.
