Like I said we all have different opinions... I love the tone of Ruth's voice and I won't be swayed in my opinion! It's each to their own...

@sal07x, even girls at 12 are much much much better at singing than Ruth. Specially when it comes to combining throat and oral cavity resonance...

Not to speak of Sissel, but she's in her own league and I don't think it's fair to compare with an amateur, in sense of good singing practise.

I most certainly do understand what nasal means and am fully aware of beautiful referring to bel canto! We may just agree to disagree we obviously hear differently and everyone is entitled to their opinion... And in my opinion this lady has a beautiful voice!

@sal07x, maybe you just don't know what sound "nasal" refers to? And no, her voice is not beautiful. "Beautiful" in context of a singing voice is refering to bel canto, and she's not anywhere near producing such. She's got a narrow harmony due to only producing sound from resonance within her oral cavity. She needs to open up her throat so that the chest gets in on resonance too. Tighten the gap between so called "cheast and head voice" and use them both. Then you can get to beautiful.

@Idol2011no That is your opinion and you're entitled to it! But I don't know where you're getting "nasal" from, it's anything but nasal... granted the last note is slightly sharp, but Ruth has a beautiful voice and has obviously trained for many years... you should look her up on iTunes to hear some more of her work... she's very talented!!

Narrow harmony, nasal and off pitch. This wasn't any good. It will take much to get this woman on track.
