I hate to be a negative, a fly in the potato salad, but for crimminy's sake, Emily Saliers Is a great American treasure. A songwriter . I find her amazing. If I had three minutes to interview this artist, I would not be asking about lesbian origins. There is an ocean of compositions she has created that I would rather talk about.........I would want to know what was her first guitar, the other things, no. I could listen to her talk about building a song for hours. A special lady. Thanks

i adore emily, but watching this made me both angry and sad....her family was soo cool. mine was not. i was raised by parents who both emmigrated from ireland and were very catholic. i went to 12 yrs of catholic schools.

my dad was "cool" he said that he already knew, but my mother? oh good God, i'm 41 and it's still hell. anyone out there with similiar experience?
