  • 2:25 My advice would be, don't marry a woman who accepts your proposal like she's agreeing to have a root canal.

  • Its sweet how Annette tries to make Soames feel bettter at the start of this. They're not in love but there is a sort of friendship that has developed from this crisis.

  • @TaharaMable I agree. Passion and love are very important to a good relationship, but they are not the only things necessary.

  • @tarynrose1000 Soames wasn't supposed to be a villain. Galsworthy felt sorry for him too. I'm not saying that Soames was meant to be a hero, but you're being very biased and making out the author wanted something when the evidence says the contary.

  • When he thanks Annette for coming back from France, good God, my heart just about broke. Damian Lewis acted the mess out of that scene. The way he flinches when she touches him. He is so accustomed to being completely disregarded, he finds tenderness arresting.

  • ANYONE who has ever been in a similar relationship sitation, as Fleur and Jon are, will see that they are no good for each other. Passions this desperate are more like a disease than real love, and these pre-love emotions are SURE to faint, and when they do, what really counts is how much fun they have together and how they support each other. If Jon/Fleur had stayed together, Jon would ultimately have ruined it in his need for drama, Their relationship is empty without passion and drama.

  • Welcome to 20th century love story guys!!! No more woes, looks and mariage 2 days later feeling all romantic! It's tries and errors, joy and sadness, love and heartbreaks untill it is right! Jon and Fleur are of their time now!

  • This really does remind me of the Scarlett---Ashley--Rhett triangle. Just like Scarlett, Fleur doesn't see how terrific Michael is, and how much better suited he is to her.

  • You will never make her happy Michael, she will be onto he next source of happiness when it shows up and you will be left so miserable and feel so degraded. I think George is a much underrated asset to the family.

  • She cant stand her father????? He loves her and has treated her very well.Fleur is a selfish c*nt!
