In 1984 Johnny Thunders manager Christopher Gierke called Tony James to ask him to come and play bass at a show with Johnny at Gibus Club, Paris.
Tony was in the process of putting together Sigue Sigue Sputnik, and brought Neal X with him - who subsequently played guitar that night - and Mark Laff from Generation X to play drums.

@landslideLester - spot on... then imagine Jerry Nolan on drums and Syl Sylvain on guitar, The Lyceum lineup, that was something. I think Peter Perret wobbled on for a bit at the beginning too, but I might be confusing things!
