Here you can see a video of how the Razer Lachesis reacts to music in the room.
The music doesn't even have to be that loud to see first "results".
For this video I turned the music a little louder than I'd on casual gaming to show you how dramatical the cursor moves.
I have even held the mouse in place.

I got the mouse 4 days ago, and won't have it much longer.

  • I've upgraded to a Logitech MX518 1800dpi refresh.

    Yes..upgraded.

It's solid, it's comfortable, it's precise, it's half the price compared to that POS.

I'll probably get the money back on ebay. xD

  • Bought the Destructor Pad. Much better now. Pad is the best on the market I'd say.

There's still some moving going on at loud deep basses, but I usually don't play that loud in online matches.

  • man i believe you don't have a good mouse pad and for sure your bass sucks.

and btw, your video can get an other title.

from little shaking the curser moves and it shows how the DPI is great!

  • well the bass turns out so cheap because it's been recorded with my mobile phone.

I know it somewhat sounds like broken speakers.

The mousepad is the Razer Speed. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's hi-end technology. Can't get much more expensive.

But Lachesis requires hard pads so I'm gonna buy one and look if I can live with that.

    Otherwise: new mouse again

  • thanks dude i just boguht the mice yesterday and it coming in one wk dos the mouse work on window vista?

  • Yes.

And I recommend to go to razersupportDOTcom and look for the newest drivers and firmware for the Lachesis.

It prevents the cursor from skipping which is another error.

  • I'm using it on Goliathus Control, and it fucking SUCKS. The cursor drifts ALL THE TIME. I even try cleaning the lens with isopropyl alcohol multiple times per day, it does almost nothing. It's pissing me off to no end.

  • @REDxFROG The Megasoma is better. It's elite mousepad (according to razer)

  • My lachesis does this even with the volume low and the mouse DPI set low. I have all the firmware and driver updates.

My lachesis is on top of a hard FUNC pad 1030 surface, and the func pad is on top of a Razer Goliathus in an attempt to dampen vibrations even further. Still doesn't help at ALL.

  • You can't set a macro without using the "Record" function, yet by having to actually perform the key-combination to record, the corresponding program is run by Windows, taking focus away from the Razer window and causing the record to fail.

In other words, when you press "Windows Key + E" to record Windows Explorer, Windows Explorer pops up and makes the record fail.

This is flawed programming. Razer is a terrible company. Stay away from this crap.

  • The Naga I just bought does this same exact thing, not to mention the software is horrible in it's design.

Come on Razer! Your peripherals are terrible.

  • I've had this exact problem with the Lachesis, and in my opinion it is a TERRIBLE mouse.

The sidebuttons are extremely hard to press, you will find that you need to actually move your hands and press down hard to get them working.

Extremely uncomfortable too. Do not buy it!

  • Razer mamba or Naga rulz!

  • try destructor.
