The Catholic religion is composed of traditions which are NOT based upon the Word of God. Matthew 23:9 warns us not to reverence any man as "Father." Yet, this is exactly what the Catholic religion practices. 1st Timothy 4:1-3 warns us about the Catholic religion... It is very simple to be saved. Dear Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner, deserving of Hell. Please forgive me of my sins and take me to Heaven when I die. I now believe upon You alone, apart from all self-righteous works and religion, as my personal Savior. Thank you. Amen.

Just take God at His word and claim His salvation by faith. Believe, and you will be saved. No church, no lodge, no good works can save you. Remember, God does the saving. All of it!

God's simple plan of salvation is: You are a sinner. Therefore, unless you believe on Jesus Who died in your place, you will spend eternity in Hell. If you believe on Him as your crucified, buried, and risen Savior, you receive forgiveness for all of your sins and His gift of eternal salvation by faith.

Christ died for your sins. You are a sinner by nature and by choice. Jesus took your sins and charged them to His own record. He went to the cross and paid the penalty for your sins. He says if you're willing to receive Him in faith; He will transfer His payment to your debt, and His righteousness to your sins. He will impute to you His goodness, and impute to His own record your sin; if you in faith will trust Him as your Savior.

Why do people think the New Teatament did away with the law, when Jesus own word n Mat 5:18 not 1 jot or tittle shall n no wise pass from the law til all be fulfilled and any who break or teach the least of the commandments shall be least, then went on seemingly stricter about murder,adultry, divorce..etc..also n Mat 22:36> when ask which is greatest commandment n the law, Jesus explain'd Love GOD 1st, ur neighbor as urself 2nd & that all the law & the prophets hang on these two. @JimmyCarol100 A person must believe that there is a penalty for sin—which is death and Hell—and that we as sinners are deserving of such just punishment from God (Romans 6:23; Revelation 21:8). Why does a man need a Savior if there is nothing to be saved from? The issue of sin MUST be dealt with! It is not enough to merely turn-over-a-new-leaf, nor to make a commitment to Christ. We are GUILTY of violating God's Law (Romans 3:19).

@JimmyCarol100 Sin must be paid for! You can either accept God's gift of pardon through the blood sacrifice of Christ Jesus, or you can spend eternity being punished in the Lake of Fire for your own sins.

@JimmyCarol100 Jesus is my defense Attorney, i.e., advocate, with the Father (1st John 2:1). He has taken care of my sins for me, washing them away by His own literal blood (Hebrews 9:12,22-24). Jesus did this for me because I obeyed the Gospel, by believing on Jesus as the Christ to forgive my sins (2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9; John 20:31).

@amy2x exactly, we still have to obey Christ & sin no more, for what is sin= 1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the trangression of the law. I guess what I'm try'n to say is even tho' we chose to turn to & believe n Jesus Christ work on the cross to atone for our sins, that while we are yet still n the flesh we must be obedient to His commandments, which are the law. Regardless, books will be balanced on judgement day. Again, Sin is transgression of Law.

@JimmyCarol100 Catholics are teaching that works gets you in to heaven. They deny Christ. Catholicism is Satanism. Catholics serve the Devil and are not Christians. The penalty for any sin is the same. Eternity in Hell as Punishment. Jesus who was sinless died and went to Hell to Serve our penalty. Only he could escape Hell because he was sinless. There is no escape for anyone that goes there.

we are still required to obey the commandments of God otherwise it is not true repentance. The Lord Jesus's first doctrine when He peached was repent!! that means turn away from your sins. And sin is disobeying the commandments of God. You cannot claim to be of God and continue to do the works of the Devil. The Bible is very clear on this issue. the 10 commandments still stand, why you think they are not is beyond me.
