  • LOL! They wouldn't have been able to get away with making this in the UK..imagining getting someone here to sign THAT release form

  • They were all wonderful people to film. They liked nothing more than being buried alive, sticking spikes through their flesh and walking through fire. Why don't they teach our kids this stuff at school?

  • Is this Robert? How did you come across the idea for making this film? I'm just scanning websites for various indies/work and this caught my eye, great concept...why not update it now that the Religion/Dawkins ticket has kicked off, I'm sure you could pitch it at Al-Jazeera English or something....I guess I love experiment/challenge-based programming..

  • I made "Guru Busters" some years ago. I had read an article in the Independent about the campaigners in Calcutta. I followed up "Guru Busters" with a series called "Supernatural Science" for the BBC , which explored scientific explanations for a variety of supposedly paranormal/ supernatural phenomena. There are clips from one programme from that series, "Secrets of Levitation", here on my YouTube channel. You can find other programme clips on XPloreMagic, another excellent YouTube site.

  • @socal1982 Any person that claims to posses supernatural powers is a fraud. However, a teacher of moral values need not be a fraud. Unfortunately, most gurus in India claim to have some supernatural ability.

  • The look on the guy's face is priceless when he comes out from the sand! Awesome series, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for posting!

  • is she a saint or a loving person?

  • "Shadow follows light. One should not be afraid of shadow. There is light even in shadow. Light and shadow cannot exist separately. There is a principle of unity between them. So, do not react to any criticism levelled against Swami or any other elder for that matter. Just brush it aside, saying, you have nothing to do with it."

  • Not all. like you can find one true and real guru from the group of around 1 million. A real guru doesn't need to come on the TV to give lectures, he doesn't need to show magics to make more and more people follow him.

Just make prayer to that supreme God who send Jesus, Krishna or other divine souls to this earth. Ask the Supreme power that please give me true guru who can guide me to reach the highest level of spirituality in my this birth itself.

  • Do you think that all "gurus" in India are frauds? What about the hugging-saint, Ammachi?

  • Perhaps your next doc could be a 'provocumentary' social-experiment in which you introduce the idea of a wild new educational syllabus in the UK, consisting of children learning how to 'get real' and deal with today's physical problems which they might encounter later in life....
