@MarkArandjus That does indeed sound like a fun mesh of religions and beliefs. ^_^ The question was aroused by mere curiosity, so I have no reason to consider this version a jab at anything at all. And, it should be said again, this is a magnificent and thorough cover, and the idea and execution actually is hilarious (look at that guitarist dancing along with the beat). Kudos to the both of you for an excellent performance, and thank you for the response.

I love the way the host thanks the band at the end so politely after they just shredded the fuck out of the song.

jesus is my freind

This has so much more soul than the original. Why is there this rule that music about God has to suck???? At least the Violent Femmes know the diff.
-
Jesus kept trying to rush the stage and headbang with the band so security kicked him out.

their instruments are gigantic pieces of shit lol.

I would listen to this shit all day if only there was a way to :(

There are 2 people that are not friends with Jesus!
Do you mind if I ask the personal question of whether any of you (Andy, Markness) are Christian? I ask out of curiosity: Many people refuse to sing lyrics that they do not mean, or can have no emotional investment in. Then again, I am aware that other people do not think like that - and your versions are normally true to the original lyrics.
But no matter; this is still a fantastic version. The background vocals are perfect and the rhythm and riffs are amazing. Absolutely marvellous work. ^_^

@Soeregaard I don't know about Andy, and it's not for me to say, but I'm not a Christian. My saviour is Optimus Prime and I follow the Holy Space Squid ;D
Recently I've also been a believer in Talos and Sovengarde. Who says religion can't be fun, bwahah.
It shouldn't matter, I don't believe in Satan, I'll still sing along to Slayer songs, in fact Tom Araya is a catholic.
This wasn't a jab at religion, the band or Christian-music.
Death metal covers are simply hilarious to us, that'sall :)

"He taught me how to praise my god and still play Death Metal.."
I listened to this like, eight times and just now noticed that that line was changed. I laughed so hard!
