  • As a parent of two boys with autism. I found this video invaluable. Remember autism is s SPECTRUM disorder!! One size does not fit all. ABA is fantastic and necessary but isn't a cure-all. We have used ABA for almost nine years. My children are low functioning and still fairly non-verbal. When you have reached the limit of what ABA can do, you need to keep looking for help.

  • I think it interesting when a person doing medical studies talks about drug affects relative to repetitive behaviors, challenging behaviors, and parent opinion.

None of that is useful to knowing whether you are changing the child.

Try data taken by observation through interval recording and looking into whether reduction in repetitive behaviors or challenging behavior changes future conditioning related to the lasting changes in learning paths.

  • the music in the begining makes me not able to watch it with the sensory overload the was chiming was hard to get through and made the info hard to understand.

  • This video seems to be short on conclusions. I couldn't watch it all the way through.

  • this is eugenics

  • I should hope the comments in this video are not the opinion of the University of California because they conducted an important study at UCLA that showed in the 1970s that 47% of autistic children could be indistinguishable, 68% could have a regular IQ, and 89% could have functional language.

One of the key elements was parent training on behaviors.

Hence, this guy will likely have some interesting things to report, but it is unlikely he will be speaking correctly.

  • Fantastic video! This really helped my research. Many thanks.
