  • If Dave wasn't such a big rock n roll fan you wouldn't have seen this interview. An ass like Jay Leno doesn't hold interviews with rock legends like Pete. Dave is rock n roll while Leno and the like have hip hop and rap 'artists' as guests.

  • WHY IS DAVE YELLING??

  • what year was this??

  • @VanACDC1979 Elvis is the king, Clapton is God, and Pete Townshend is the King of Gods

  • @AngusShanks DAMN STRAIGHT, ANGUS!! x

  • Always nice to see Letterman with a guest he has respect for. You actually get interesting conversation rather than Dave just being a jerk and using the guest as a target for his gags and pranks. Not saying some don't deserve it. He's had a fair share of dimwits on his show. Anyway, I'm not from your generation, but you're a hero to me, Pete.

  • @Patti51Lynn Calmpton? Is that a fusion of Clapton and Frampton? Actually, screw the typo whining, that would be awesome.

  • @myanilee if you do pushups over and over, you'll become good at them. If you preform the pentatonic scale on the guitar, you can be eric. If you learn triads and write esotearic, touching, haunting, thought provoking lyrics, and learn to energize live preffor, mance you will be Peter Dennis Blanford Townshend

  • They didn't do Ed Sullivan because they would've destroyed the stage. The Smothers brothers they could get away with doing that. Not Ed Sullivan.

  • @VanACDC1979 clapton is god

    bb is king

  • Pete Towsend kept the who together, and was the only one who could enjoy yet keep track of the amazing Keith Moon. Yet, note for notr, no one alive (i.e. Jimi Hendrix) can beat Eric Clampton...two of the people, Pete and Sir Eric shaped my love for blues and rock.

  • i like what he says about Keith and John
