every time I watch this part, it breaks my heart.. Poor Mikey(sp?) gets flogged and dies because of it because that stuck up scumbag didn't have sense enough to just sit back and listen to Morris about the whole situation. All he wanted was to do things his way-- although I can see why, with the Hopkins brutal murder/eliza's rape
I wanted to ask someone this: Did you think that Martha was pregnant?
Two things made me think she was. Near the end she was looking at a magazine with baby clothes in it and when they were at the dinner table she looked like she faked drinking the wine.
I'm not sure and it's bugging me. What do you think?
You know, thinking on it now-- she must have been! Perhaps that dream of Eliza handing her a baby was another clue? (Of course, the death of the pregnant woman was still bugging her at the time, so that could also be the reason for the dream) but still, it's a strong possibility!
