Unsigned home studio recording of techno (ish) music with Atari, Cubase (v1.2 I think), Casio FZ-1 sampler, Roland D50, Yamaha DX7, Novation BassStation Rack, Yamaha SPX50D effects and Mackie CR1604 mixer.
My friends tell me my music is good but they could be just being polite. I thought I'd put my music on YouTube and get some comments (constructive criticism hopefully) from people who don't know me.
Yeah I enjoyed it - more like film music score than a track on it's own - but really liked it - liked all the variances in it and the small continuous themes - actually pretty clever - thanks for posting

thnx for reply!
Can you tell me plz, are CR1604 noisy? Also, I'm going to buy this mixer, and i need some info about its EQ's. Are there sounds nice? And it is Soundtracs or Midas mixers better than Mackie?
thanks (sorry for my bad english o_0)

I bought it second hand and it had crackling noises when I moved the sliders so I had it cleaned and it was quiet then. The EQs are good and there is a mid range knob as well as bass and treble. I bought a Mackie CR1604 because a lot of musicians I admired used one.
I don't know about Soundtracs or Midas.
Your English is very good - better than a lot of English people.

Thanks drbott2. I mixed down from a Mackie CR1604 mixer to a Denon tape deck DRW-750. I couldn't afford a DAT back in those days.
