[HowTo] Remove Anti-Virus 2009

Anti-Virus 2009 was installed into my computer automatically. I tried to find a way to get rid of it, and this is my solution. I hope this will help you guys in some sort of way.

Q:How do I get the task manager to pop-up?
A: Click and hold Ctrl, Alt, and Del on your keyboard.

Q: I can't find AV2009 on my task manager and I can't delete the AV2009 file either, help?!
A: It might be listed as xpa.exe in your task manager, if you see that end that task. Or visit this website to manually remove it, http://spyware-removal-guide.net/66/xpantivirus-2008-manual-removal/.

Q: What if you don't have a Local Disk?
A:It can also be called Hard Disk.
Or just copy and paste C:\Program Files. Also try removing it using my batch file. (Visit my website and go to Video Updates.)

Q: What if you removed the file in your C drive, but you can't find it in processes? (This comment was accidently removed by me. I am really sorry.)
A: If it is removed, then it shouldn't pop up anymore. We went to processes and ended it because when we delete it it would say you can't delete the file because it is in 'use' even though we aren't even using it.

Q: What screen recorder are you using?
A: I am using CamStudio, then edited the zooming parts with Camtasia. Then dubbed it through Windows Movie Maker. (Not Recommended to use WMM; explanation for poor quality.)

lol dude. you got a weak infection of antivirus 2009. lucky you . o_o i had to wipe out my computer. sucks Xp.

everytime i search for the process ITS NOT THERE. and i cant even find the file o_O i checked hidden files and its still not there Xp. not sure how i got it o_O but whoever gave me the virus.... programmed it extremely well :/

Hey.

I dont now how this got on my computer. I was on my facebook at the time. but this Antivirus software came up on my window telling me that it detected a virus. i clicked to close it.

few seconds later it shows up agian and right then i knew i was hit with a virus. i tried to acces my malewarebtyes and my other virus protection prorgams. but it woldnt open. it says they are infcected. the virus woludnt let me open anything up. Please any suggestions

well, wat if i had a free antivirus trial for 30 days, then the trial expired, then i removed the antivirus but i didnt restart my computer, then i went to the same antivirus site to reinstall the antivirus, i installed and restarted, but now the problem is it keeps on saying, system unsecured

Check proxy setting in Internet explorer. Go to Tools>Internet Options>Connections and click on the LAN Settings button at the bottom. Take the check out of Use a proxy server for your LAN if its checked.

Nice tutorial :) , i had this bastard on my PC a few months ago , but i got rid of it on a different way , i just ran my PC on safe mode and delete it from there , but hell your method works just fine :)
