@irishclubswinger -- i would even say to start with a 5kg even if you are strong as the dynamics of the lever are unlike anything a newbie is likely to have experienced before-- even a ClubBell vet such as myself-- even the 10kg is a beast the first few times.
plus the 5kg is great for single hand MB evolutions.
great viddy brah

Hey man, what would be a good mace bell to get for a beginner. Some one thats 5'7" 174 lbs. I mean how would you judge this kind of thing. This things arent laying around at the nearest modells. By the way, I have looked into Fujiwara and Billy Robinson. But, sakuraba got me into catch as catch can.

I suggest guys start with the 10kg. I went with the 15kg beause I was pretty strong. The first time I tried to swing it I about pulled my arm out of socket and was afraid of the mace, taught me to respect it. I've had powerlifters and BIG football linemen watch my vids and laugh, saying they could do that easy, until they try and almost kill themselves. The 10kg will strengthen your entire upper body and build endurance, develop tendon strength and get you ready for the 15kg. Sakuraba is awesome

Thank You! I had to really work on it to develop my strength to do this, I hope other people are inspired to do the same.
