@MyBetty111 The Cistercian order is rooted in simplicity. The abbey churches are generally sparsely decorated while being very beautiful.

@MyBetty111 This area of the monastery is known as the Chapter Room. It is used for numerous purposes. Weekly community meetings, a place for retreat masters or visiting speakers to lecture, a place of voting on issues within the community, profession of temporal vows and as in this video, clothing and official entrance into the novitiate for monastic formation.

Is this the cahel? It looks like a men's room. Where is the altar? the iconography? the statues? Is this what Vatican II has done? I hope not.
