@HSVR8M8 do U realise that all the Earths life sustaining systems we take for granted are dependent on climate stability? and no that carbon tax wont do anything itself but its a very small step in the right direction. some green ideas cost in short term but they are an investment in preserving the planet(which we need to live)

howard was one of the worst prime ministers in a very long time. Nothing happened that would test his actions in relation to the economy, but he was borderline racist and an absolute conservative who not only supported forcing people from their homes in the Bush invasion, but stopping them from entering Australia watching them drown, how'd he get away with that? "they were terrorists", -holding their babies up pleading for help, his response to accusations "well I couldn't say they weren't..."

Come on Sactum, you can do better than that! Throw me a bone here, give me at least 4 or 5 solid achievements (no rhetoric please). If he is so successfull, why is he one of only 2 PMs to lose their seat in Australian political history? Can't be a very good leader if he can't communicate with his own blue ribbon electorate.
