Very interesting idea! Great little set up. The only problem I see is where is someone like myself is to find a IV bag? Can you buy these at a pharmacy if so are they cheap? I like the improvements you have made to the starlyte. Still one of my favorite stoves!

While your using your stove, passerby's will think you have escaped from the local hospital and probably call the authorities. See something say something according to Ms. Napolitano.

@zellph I wish he or someone else would still sell those remotes though! Can't seem to get my hands on another one. I do like some of your other designs though.

you can try something called injectable water -- it's typically fairly small (200mL or so I think) and is made of slightly stiffer plastic containers that, I think, is not as likely to disintegrate with alcohol.
Also, you can just have a larger syringe (20 mL or so) and push more alcohol in when or if you need to. I've been doing that because I use small tealight stoves that often need refill while still burning, so far no problem at all. Also handy for removing fuel from stove.

@Kiwiosity Thanks for the helpful suggestion. It was fun to build but did not want to use this type of set-up.

Unique idea, yes. But poor. Those IV bags are not meant to hold fuel from alcohol stoves. They are easily punctured by sharp objects. They're also wayy too complicated. A tangle of connectors, lines, bags, and remote is a pain I don't want to deal with on the trail. Tinny's design with a single adapter was much better IMO.

@outdoorsurvivors I agree, his is much better than the iv bag arrangement. The IV bag is used as the fuel tank in remote controlled boats. That's where I got the idea from. Thanks for your comment.
