  • Great work! Happy to discover your tutorials through this video. Haven't even finished wathing this yet but - I'm curious - how did you work out what strings Vernon replaced and with what string? Seem to remember something called Nashville tuning. Is this something like?

  • @chicketyfick uum i guessed the strings thing as i was trying to puzzle it out how he got the high notes. .. and ive never heared of nashville tuning :)

  • Good God almighty. It's a great song and all but I just couldn't be arsed going to all that trouble of deconstructing my guitar, changing strings etc to play one song. Or maybe it's just that I'm soporific at the moment from turkey and wine. Happy Christmas G0liath and thanks for all the knowledge ur sharing. :)

  • @thepumpdontwork you're welcome as always dude. Although i understand it's a lot of effort for just one song, i happen to think some songs are just worth it :)

  • Don't apologize dude! You're doing a fantastic job and should take all the time you want! You're doing the best tutorials on youtube so you can talk all that you want!

  • @G0liath1012 Nashville's the same as Standard but with some different octaves. Not sure which strings are different.

  • Hell yeah man! I had suspected he had restrung his thicker strings with thinner gauge strings and now that you explained it, it makes absolute sense. I have found a way (in an odd tuning) to play it accurately to the CD recording in the same octave and everything. But it's certainly not how they play it.

  • Oh man i will never play this well!

    anyways, great tutorial :)

  • Can you please type out what notes or octaves the strings need to be (lower to higher preferably), it gets confusing when you explain by calling them 6th, 5th, etc. to me at least. Thanks and great job!
