The U.S. has vowed to stand side by side with Israel if it faces any threat from Iran, and is boosting defence ties with its ally. But with Washington's concerns Tel Aviv may strike first against Tehran, Vice President Joe Biden's been sent to Israel, and is widely expected to advise caution.
