maybe it's because you stand the xbox up on its side, blocking the major cooling vent

I used to keep it horizontal, propped up on stuff to keep it cool, turns out standing it on the side like this made the system run much cooler so I've kept it like this for a year now.

I always check my 360, on both sides and it barely gets warm let alone hot.

It's just a fucked up system.

I have had my 360 for about 3 to 4 years now, I've painted and modded it several times and it has never failed.

And well said, microsoft, sony, whatever, doesn't give a damn about the gamer, they do however, give a damn about our wallets. Ahhh I remember the days when game makers made games for the gamer, and not for money or fame or whatever. I was a diehard fan of the first two halos due to the fact they were made for the player 100%. AS well as the ENTIRE elder scrolls series, but Fallout New Vegas was a bummer...

yeah sadly for those hardworking game devs you can't rip off their games on the PS3. they'll probably all shift away from the 360 soon enough just for that reason. they lose money on that system.
