  • This is so wrong.... dont ever do this.

When you 1st solder let it cool down for a sec. and then very gently clean it with a smoth rag.

Never heat the pipe/fitting that much... no coments..

  • What a stupid video!! Do not do this. When solder is cooling it has a tendency to crack if knocked... He has also spent 3 months cleaning that pipe.... copper is not black.

What you need to do is an apprentiship and learn how to solder. It shouldn't need cleaning up when your done.

This guy must flood a lot of houses!

  • Think that fitting has got abit too hot! My bit if advice for you is to leave it to the pros!

  • Not to mention that you just crystalized the solder with your extremely hot MAPP gas torch!!! Way to go guy

  • Never ever do this! It doesnt matter what it looks like as long as it doesnt leak!! That is pointless. Just solder it right the first time. It only takes about 1/2 inch of solder to get the fitting hub full.

  • He doesn't know what he's talking about. Do not follow his advice.

Look at" toms top tips" for good advice about many plumbing related tasks.

  • @wood4me that's expert village for ya. a bunch of misfits explaining things they know very little about, or misinforming others that have no knowledge so they can do it wrong. they should change the name from expert village to "ignorant village"

  • Waddaya mean: DO NOT Get this stuff on your hands???? Never mind your hands doodle head. They'll heal even from a severe burn. But just try and see through a scar on your eye either from solder flicked off the brush or exploding from contact with water while hot .

Have the decency to remove this video before some redneck follows your poorly thought out example.

  • Yes TARD cooling your pipe or fittings pre-maturley CAN harm it. It can weaken the pipe and fitting.People please look at other vids on you tube there are much better ones out there that are easy to understand.I have watched all this guys vids just for laughs.I have been soldering/brazing for 20 years and can tell you this isnt the way.

  • If you could solder properly you would'nt need to do this lol

  • Looks like we've found the Village's idiot...

  • Mr safety.
