omg i wrote this poem hoping it was finished.... it's not is it???? rip sappers mark quinsy and patrick askimkar... also fellow RUC officer Const S.P. Carroll... murdered in the execution of their duty..... never forgotten

thank you.. am really humbled by the response... just writing down feelings... nick and the rest of you have the videos and music.... those are really fitting tributes.. special memories at this time for phil ellis murdered during the hunger strike... 6/5/81... and to andy and all his family... gone.. not forgotten

While the death of Ronan Kerr is both sad & tragic, let's reflect on the men & women of the RUC who laided down their lives to try & make Northern Ireland a better place. Let us not forget the catholic officers who served in the RUC against a far greater risk when the IRA was at the height of it's murderous campaign & stopped many decent law abiding catholics from joining & serving the community. It is sad when the death of Constable Kerr has been used as nothing more than a PR exercise by many.

Yet again we are drawn back to the dark days of the past - my thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the 2 soldiers and the police officer murdered by cowards.
