People don't understand the bowls aren't about determining a champion. (Although they do). They're about rewarding the players and coaches for a successful season. The team gets to go to a new location, they get gifts, interact with the fans, and get to do things to bond (Baylor and Washington got to go to a Spurs game for the Alamo Bowl)

@CFBLover3 yes, if you have more 8 teams in a playoff, it makes the season itself meaningless, which is why college football is so awesome because one game can change the season. I would have an 8 team playoff with the higher BCS ranked getting home field advantage. Have the playoffs begin early in the bowl games. Then once the two teams have been decided, send the other 6 to their respective bowls(For instance, if Oregon was in the playoffs and lost in it) send them to the Rose Bowl.

Why are most of the big schools (except Georgia and the Pac 10) afraid of a small school like Boise State? I especially wonder why the SEC runs and hides from Boise State. Why? General Lee and Stonewall Jackson are rolling over in their graves at such cowardice. Had Stonewall Jackson had so little backbone, there would have been no Civil War beyond the FIrst Battle of Bull Run.

I know thats right, pardon to anyone who doesn't agree or if i offend u, but Mizzou was ranked #1 at one time last year but then lost to a good Oklahoma #6-7 or so, and then we got bumped behind Kansas in the standings. We beat Kansas blind-folded and i think we got screwed, but hey that's just my opinion.
