how did you add that title that said two hour edit right on the video? i also edit using sony vegas pro 8

You go to insert -> text image. It will then pop up what you want to type. Do all that and it should appear on where you edit along with your clips.
Make sure the text image is on a higher bar on the screen so its above the clips. If it isn't then it will be shown behind the clips. I also pan/cropped it to rotate to make it in line with the fence.
