David Gilmour: On an Island Solo #1 w/Hiwatt

Just me playing around with my Hiwatt Hi-Gain 50. Using a Rat2 distortion pedal along with the Real Tube to give it a little more edge. Not too bad for a digital camera production, but you can get the overall feel :)

I very rarely use the od channel on the amp and never with pedals

You like your Hiwatt? I have been doing some amp shopping lately. What kind of sounds is this good for other than classic rock and soloing? Can you get nice, shimmery, clean tones with it too?

Yeah if I turn all of my footpedals off. Haha. Check out some of my other vids -- I think the How to Play Pink Floyd - Breathe video shows it pretty clean with a little phaser. Hiwatts are know for their shimmering clean tones and large headroom --- I just happen to put pedals in front of mine. ;) However, you aren't going to get on camera 100% how it sounds in person. Great great amp.. my buddy is a pro-musician out on tour and just bought a H&K Tri-Amp and he loves my Hiwatt.
