Possible, but I doubt Ethiopians copied from people from the Appalachian mountains or vice versa. For example I've seen American Indians dance and I've seen Tigrinya people dance. It's very similar. Did one copy from the other, doubtful? In Ethiopian homes the baskets they weave are similar to those weaved by women in Mexico. Did someone copy? I doubt it.
