Curtis is makeing real blade stops. That means he is not putting the engine in throttle hold, he is switching the engine completely off. So he can't cheat during a blade stop ;-)

@michchristy he did... when you look close, you see the smoke out of the muffler.

why couldnt he just come out of throttle hold, spool up and recover ?

I fly exactly like this, not big on the crack 3d moves I'm big on finesse. If theirs a big open field and sky use it to its max. Excellent flying, I would have liked to see him pull that second auto.
