Niaz Ali performed very well in ACC Elite Cup 2009 in Kuwait. He claimed man of the match award in semi final against Qatar. He bowled many superb spells in the tournament.
Niaz Ali has been a member of the HK U15 Team in 2006 and 2007. He made his debut for the HK National Team on a training tour to Pakistan in April 2008 and was part of the squad for ACC Trophy 2008.
He was also named HK Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year at the Hong Kong Cricket Associations Annual Award Dinner for 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 seasons.
