I can't believe I found this beautiful song. I was a stenographer in my day 1950s - 1980s and I would scribble the lyrics of songs I heard through the years in shorthand. Last night I happened to find a box with all of the songs I had captured in shorthand..this was one of them. I have not heard the song in 30 years but miracle of miracles I have found it here on YouTube. So special to me since my hubby of 49 1/2 years passed away 3 months ago today. Thank you so much for sharing this with all. What a fantastic song. As a member of the x generation I have had no exposure to music of this era. It is fascinating to me that so much that seemed to be lost is now available to be appreciated by future generations. I can only hope that more people can listen to songs like this and appreciate the remarkable talent that was once the standard of what great music should be.

God Bless you for posting this. It is one of the most beautiful songs in the world. There's something about it. Maybe it is so personal and expresses a portion of the loneliness that all of us have felt at one time. The song was written with true passion and understanding of human nature. The singer is another special story. The voice is amazing and it was meant for song and singer to be born in the same century.
