Unlike what others say, BZflag is cool. It's a bit hard, with no up and down aim and instant kills, but it's so fun what with the wild flags, BAD flags, CTF and DM/TDM
Lots of player-created maps, like the one on that (dungeon wannabe?) server or The Two Tanks.

why do the grass, shots and explosions look so good? the ground on mine is just plain dark green :(

I activated textures :)
Options>Display>Textures, Quality needs to be high.
