  • if you had to choose between paramotoring or paragliding which would it be and why??

  • Paramotoring against paragliding.

Its a bit like jetskiing verses surfing really one is a motor sport and the other is a spiritual adventure where you harness natures power to stay aloft. Once you experience a cross country flight your hooked all over again. Paragliding wins but i would hate to choose, p-motoring is a fantastic sport in its own right. They are two very different ways to fly.

Gliding takes a great deal of skill and knowledge. Paramotoring is a superb way to sight see a new area!

  • hey ladies and gents!!

im loving these vidies this sport looks the absolute buisness!!! im not involved YET! but im hoping to do an 8 day course as soon as i can. anybody got any advice on where to purchase equipment or any kind of help for me.. anything would be great... oh im based in Wales if that makes a difference... any help would be fantastic.. thanks very much!

  • Paramotoring is great.

Steve at AXIS para South Wales teaches and sells paramotors and is a nice bloke too! I can highly recommend a motor with a clutch and pull start eg PAP Top80 or PAP Ros125 the 125 if your heavy. No DIY! The course is a good idea!

  • How much does the total package cost and what are the running costs, e.g. oil, maintenance etc.

  • Running costs are much like a 2 stroke motorbike. Props can be costly if you land heavy with them spinning.

I would also suggest a new flyer buy motor with clutch and pull start. Ohh and low hangpoints.

  • Hi Tim, it all looks great. I've got about 1500hrs on paragliders/hang gliders. Just started paramotoring with the PAP1100as and Dudek Synthesis. I'd just like to ask if you had a manual for the motor unit or could tell me where I could get one. This thing fly's beautifully, same colour harness as yours, but will require maintenance soon I'm sure. Where is best for spares?

  • you are lucky guys! one day i wll d it to

  • thanks tim i'll be looking into it as soon as i can!! this video is awesome... gotta get 1 asap! thanks buddy!

  • I am totally confused with the choice of paramotors out there. Bailey, PAP, Walkerjet ... aaaaaaaaah which one and why?

  • Thats a veried question shifty, I would say around 3000 for ok second hand gear, motor and wing. New would be double this and tuition is around 700 freefly or 700 paramotor. i would suggest anyone wanting to motor learn to freefly first. Then get a cheap 250 liscence addition.
