@capnsean520 i agree 100 percent. but i live in PA and sd40s are abundant (i wish). european trains are just sad excuses for trains. an sd40 can beat down a european class classy class 58372642901474856 like my thumb and an ant

@EsPeSD40T I have to agree and disagree. The 645 is an awesome engine to listen to. BUT, the &!) sounds much better. And, is much more fuel efficient.
Okay, so I tried to humor TheDepotCat on the Class 50. There's no way it can compete with the good ol' SD40-2. No way in hell! Unfortunately, I live in California and don't see the ol' dogs anymore, but I have one of the largest collections of HO snoots and short noses that I know of.

Such an evocative noise. The only thing I can think of that sounds better is a 20-645E3 in a Tunel Motor under load at full throttle.
