Dancer Philippe Priasso performing a duet with a mechanical digger in the Jubilee Gardens on the South Bank of the Thames in London, as part of the Summer 2007 events programme. A work by Dominique Boivin - the whole thing was 20 minutes long!
Very nice, showing an incredible amount of trust between operator and performer. however, Health & safety might have something to say about the performance!!!
That must be so much harder to do than we all think, not just for the dancer but the operator too. It requires a huge amount of balance and form. Indeed Lisa is correct about how it is possible that dance can incorporate anything, even something as brutal as a digger, and turn it into a light and airy dancing partner.
