  • Now I know where Kurt Cobain stole his look.

It's funny how prog is totally all about mixing different styles of music...but in the few months I've been listening to them...they are perhaps the WEIRDEST prog melting pot I've ever heard. Hard and soft, grungy and smooth, funky and classical.

Seeing as how I love AOR *and* really avante gard "classic prog", loving this band is the ultimate "Fuck you" to prog snobs.

  • You can go on his website(-his name + dot com) and sign up yourself. If he's playing to soccer moms in the burbs, i'm sure he can handle your pad. Unless you're in Borneo he'll come. All it takes is $1,000. Yes-we're having curry. My friend wants to murder me with his new indian dish-a mexican burrito stuffed with curry powder. No wonder Ghandi weighed about 45 lbs and wore a diaper! (nappy)

  • Please tell me I've got this wrong. First time I've seen this live footage. 4:30 onwards I was looking forward to Mr Beck getting out his Korg RK-100 and it's like he's not playing it or "finger"-overing (like voice over but with fingers) or has some arpeggiator thingy going. What am I missing!!!!????

  • Frank clearly couldn't be from the same gene pool as Kurt Cobain (he sings brilliantly, and on key, and is a highly skilled guitarist unlike Cobain who was,at best, mediocre. He is also an absolutely captivating performer...amazing to watch; owns the stage!!!

  • @StriderIsAragorn

    I think youd like the:

IT BITES THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY (Live) MP-3

    here on Youtube.

  • I JUST made a comment on another vid that Genesis and Kurt Cobain had a baby. Then saw your comment! I had no idea. Picked up on Dunnery in Chicago on that record with he and his dog on the cover. He with a shaved head...Had NO idea of this previous life!!! Cheers.

  • Pocinos mountains in Upstate NY near Philly. There is a minimum number of people that have to be there-25. He doesn't want to come to Ricky Gervais's house and play to him sitting on the couch in his underpants sipping wine. It's very intense and fun and we're having an Indian themed party after. he sticks around for that. My friends were really surprised at how funny he is and good at telling stories the last time and were blown away by the music.. it's an incredible night!

  • When you put it like that it makes sense. I was sorting of thinking along the lines of a tutorial session not a mini gig. Does he mainly live in the States now then?

  • ....Billy No Mates are we? $1,000 is a lot but then you invite everyone you know and they pay for it. Except I pay for myself.

  • Sounds a little bit like prostitution to me.I'd want him all night for a thousand bucks and I was suggesting a perfect curry would be appearance money enough! The curried Burrito sounds a bit like a samosa to me.Always imagined Frank to be a veggie.I'm a straight bloke btw.Don't by any stretch of the imagination shelve all English guys on the gay rack.Curried Burritos.....hmmmm...interesting...if you sleep alone!Ghandis sandals weighed 30 lbs and the towel was about 5./ Yay the martyr diet huh?

  • Have been a real die-hard fan of Yes since they started their stop/go progress. It Bites filled what I thought was a gap, but was a band that turned out to be a whole new energy.
