This is not the first purported chupacabra to come into the press. Every example of a chupacabra that I have ever seen has a consistent appearance that is dog like with an exceptionally long skinny tail. You would think that hospital staff would have at least a cursory knowledge of biology and not be fooled by a more common species like raccoon or coyote. Eventually its DNA will be mapped and we will find out if it has genes that are conserved in nature or entirely alien to us.

I still believe it's a dog. Some breeds may have long tails but you can't tell when they have fur on them.
