I think Layne Staley would want Jerry and the boys to go on making music. Layne was one of a kind, but this new album rocks hard and honors Layne.

duvall does the back up vocals on the whole album and really jerrys a great replacement wouldnt think to put ne one else in that spot but nobodies gunna beat layne staley's voice backing up the incredible music that alice in chains has made and are continuing to put out i think the whole album is awesome and some of their best work and ive been listening to them since the beginning

agreed, I was almost angry, when I heard that a new AiC album was in the making, and the few live videos I watched didn't convince me either, but I gave the new album a chance, and I really like it by now. Of course it's not as good as their old stuff, but it's one of my Top albums 2009.
