I'm sorry kid, didn't mean to hurt your feelings. But seriously, your blog is just moronic. The notion of posting something this lame, is just ... LAME. Videoing yourself while verbally pondering over your finances on how you are going to buy a piece of equipment that you can't afford & ABSOLUTELY DON'T need, is retarded.
A D80 is great, a D300 will not make you a better photographer, just make you a poorer sucker. Dont be a sucker learn how to be a better photograph, youll be far happier!

and you could get a 70-200mm f2.8 or something for your d80 ! !! instead of a d300 and a shitty kit lens!

lol! you should stick with the d80, and spend the 1500 on a nice lens ! i had a d80 and got a d300 , images are not too different! i got it for the fast fps and the af system for wildlife stuff!

Its interesting but at my camera club the guys who go on about camera specs and latest bodies are the ones who rarely produce the good images.Dont fall into the latest is greatest trap.Photography is about pictures, not badges.

Agreed i started on a D80 a couple years ago. First thing i did is ditch the shitty kit lens and got a Nikon 17-55mm 2.8 lens, then a Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 VR lens.
Last year i got a D300 and just recently got the D700.
I currently shoot with my D300 17-55mm 2.8 lens and D700 + 24-70mm 2.8 lens. The 70-200mm 2.8 VR is still here and kicking ass :D
Maybe a D3 for this summer...

You need to shoot more when you are saying you need a new camera because yours is a "few years old..... aka really old" LOL Yeah I have a D50, but I would rather keep using it for a long time than have say a D300 with the kit lens that comes with D40 and others (the 18-55). Maybe I would use live view if I could try it out, but it seems pretty worthless. I don't understand why you would use that over looking through the viewfinder. Are we trying to make the power of SLRs point and shoots?
