www.greenopolis.com: BP has begun to use thousand of gallons of a chemical dispersant to try to keep the oil from reaching the marshlands and shores.

It acts like soap detergent, breaks the oil apart on the surface and sinks below the surface. This chemical dispersant has not been widely tested and the effects on sea life is unknown.

The dispersant helps to prevent the PR nightmare of the oil actually reaching the shore. Is having the oil sink to the bottom of the sea better? it seems we have this dilemma between saving the shore

  • my comment: she is a hot body, but her face... Also, she should start to learn some acting.

  • Corexit 9500 is highly toxic and has been banned for use in the UK. The use of this poison in the Gulf will kill off the animals and eventually the people in that area.

  • I have read that bioremediation with oil consuming organisms would be the most effective and safest means of dealing with the oil. Corexit is a poisonous chemical that should not be used AT ALL. Another video I watched demonstrated the effectiveness of using simple hay to absorb the oil.

  • Microbes that eat oil. This naturally cleans the water without toxic chemicals.

  • @system32master the planet will survive us, we are nothing,in fact that shit in the water came from millions of years of death and decay.the only way this world can sustain its current population is with oil,no other way, unless more than half the population dies..those cloths, the clean water u like, food, come on the only paradise without oil is The road warrior(movie)prove me wrong,Id love to live tribel and watch women like u run around naked, with braids, but we are geared to self destruct..

  • Thanks 4 allowing me the chance 2 say something too, It sure doesn't seem 2 wise 2 add dispersants ...what are they made of ? Will all these things mixed together not get in our air ? What about way down under where the oil is coming from isn't it leaving some part less-than before ? and what of it if so ? Perhaps the worst of it is yet to come ? Why can't it be stoped by blowing it up ? What would be the cost if they did ? What will be the cost if they don't ??? PLZ Help me understand. T Y.

  • i suspect dispersants are a bad idea...why break the oil up in a way that cannot be as easily gathered; its not like its just going to disappear. Certainly having the oil on top of the water is not good, but suspended up and down in the water? That makes the band of affliction and assault worse....covering an even wider area, reducing berth.

  • @v7nf no need to be rude

  • i think your boobs are fake

  • @system32master you first hopefully.
