the three swirling dragons that appeared b4 the final boss reminded me of Secret of Mana's level 8 Salamando fireball spell. it happens if Salamando is level 8:99 and the spell is used on a random monster.

It appears as a tribute to Salamander as the Brain Golem and the crystal ball looking boss are respectively the 1st and final boss in this game.

I´ve made this Movie using EPSXE (Psx Emulator) and Fraps, running a copy of the Gradius Gaiden for PSX.
