Bill Lindsay is a Colorado CRHR co-chair and President, Benefit Group-Denver, Lockton Companies, LLC. He says that they public option may suffice in some states where there is not adequate coverage, or competition of insurance companies. Lindsay argues that there are other ways to create market penetration of health care providers other than a government-run option.
This video claims two points: allow insurance companies from different regions to compete, and a not-for-profit public option would be impossible for the insurance companies to compete with.
Combined the video has one point: do not allow government to make insurance companies overly competitive.
A reasonable person is inclined to ask: Why should health care insurance companies exist at all?
