  • thats officially known as a GAL broken arm key.

  • The interlock on the elevator was made by GAL as well the elevator was put in by the owner of the motel with the help of virginia elevator. next time i stay there, ill see if the manager can get me in the machine room to see what kind of power unit it has.

  • @bradmann85 sounds a bit like this movie - The Lift aka De Lift. Either way, definitely a safety concern there

  • How'd you get the staff to do this for you?

  • What kind of elevator?

  • could have been better

  • I've always wondered for many years the purpose of that hole; which I thought up until now was a window to See Inside (like some front doors have to peep outside). You are so lucky to be able have these elevator adventures.

  • mine dont have holes..

  • You shouldve attached the camera to a long string and reeled it down a little bit.

    Cool video btw!

  • @harryfatcat HE IS NOT RISKING HIS LIFE! HE WANTS TO TRY EVERYTHING! HE IS A ELEVATOR ENTHUSIAST, UNLIKE YOU, WHO TALKS BADLY ABOUT ELEVATORS, NOW SHUT UP AND I BET YOU WET YOUR BED EVEN BEFORE BED TIME GOD DAMNIT!

  • @harryfatcat thnx man

  • @everglow1000 It shouldn't, but sometimes safety devices like hoistway door interlocks are intentionally or accidentally defeated which would allow the car to run with the door open. Obviously a very dangerous condition.
