If for some reason paper currency loses it's value, gold becomes one of the default currencies, because it has value without being backed by money, due to the fact that it can be used for many things and it doesn't corrode like other metals.

@seanmahonfilms I voted this up before I read what what grammar you were correcting. This is because I believe grammar is important everywhere.

Then I read what you corrected. Bad correction man. There is actually nothing REALLY incorrect about the way he said it, and the way he said it actually makes it that much funnier.

To satisfy your grammar nazi needs, try correcting real issues ex. people saying good when they mean well.

@kurumako You're wrong, it can't be used for that many things, and so its value is largely due to its use as a currency. The price of gold has been steadily increasing recently, not because there's a greater demand for computer chips, but because there's a greater demand for a stable, non-inflatable currency, such as gold. The value of gold does largely depend on people perceiving it as valuable.

@galathonredd I'll say it again; the fact that it's comedy has nothing to do with the fact that he used bad grammar. So the comedy will still serve it's purpose even if he used good grammar.

You sure know some big words there.

"Dumbass" and "asshole" along with other swear words are words used by people who don't have good enough vocabularies to say anything else.

Fixing grammar in comedy is like cleaning the icky glue off of duct tape. You might think it's nicer, but it won't serve it's purpose nearly as well. There are seriously better ways to waste your time. Try hobbies.

@galathonredd I believe I'm the intellectual here for pointing out a flaw in a man's grammar. The fact that it is a bad joke has nothing to do with it. It could be factual, it could be fiction. Neither case would change the bad grammar.
