Travelin' Man(Ricky Nelson)-The Scaredy Cats

This is one of the tunes we do that I love to sing every night. I never get sick of this one. Ricky Nelson's,"Travelin' Man". James Burton, the great guitar player from Elvis Presley's TCB Band, was Ricky Nelson's guitar player on all his early stuff. You can hear his signature guitar lick from "Viva Las Vegas" in Ricky Nelson's tune,"Fools Rush In" years before Elvis did "Viva."
Ricky Nelson had a dynamite band, and did some great great songs when he was topping the charts as a Teen Idol,. This is one of my favorites. "Travelin' Man". Hey man , especially nice vocal on one of the great songs of that time - I 'm 57 we used to watch O&H back in the late 50s early 60s - been going to amazing concerts ever since Jimi Hendrix in San Jose May 69 . my family moved out to the Bay area in 68 adn I got to see Ricky Nelson being televized out doors at Girideli Square in SF - He was doing a Dylan song - my band does the Dylan song and seen Dylan 19 times but I always forget the name of the song - "she's got everything she needs .....

Oh I forgot to tell you. I saw Ricky Nelson down at Bull Run Park in Virginia about four months before his tragic death. I had no idea how talented he was, he put on a great show. So sad. Janice
