@Badgerinthenight @savvvvvvvvvvy If you had read what savvvvvvvvvvy was responding to, you'd know they were talking to some idiot who was referring to jive as "euro bollocks" and saying that rock and roll style dances are better. To me, that's pretty moronic. To savvvvvvvvvvy, I do agree with you to a certain extent, but there's a line between correcting someone and being a douche, and I think you crossed that. I think you went too far is all.

Learn your dances. This is BALLROOM jive, hence the styling. If you want the other stuff, check out rock and roll or Boogie Woogie. Anyway, dances develop over time. They're living, so they branch out, change, adapt, go back to their roots.

You moron, this is latin standard jive and that "turkey" is Slavik Kryklyvyy- possibly the best male latin dancer at the moment. You dance Rock 'n' Roll to Bill Haley, equivalent to beginner's acrobatics. There's a hell of a lot more skill in this than what you rednecks dance round the campfire to with the inbred playing the banjo.
