NY City today 6/5/10 shut down an art exhibit, part of the annual Art By the Ferry on Staten Island. Citing an obscure law that requires the presence of 4 "Fire Wardens" at all time the gallery is open. The gallery is part of what was to become the National Lighthouse Museum that failed due to "Lack of Funding". What went on today confirms that some "Powers That Be" want this area to fail so it can be sold to developers.

The local community board has obtained the necessary fire protection, Thank you CB1, show the show will go on.

  • The Artists come in and then all of sudden they cite some dumb rule. I agree lets find out who ordered this shut down and send him/her letters

  • Please do post the name of the royal Ahole that shut the place down - his name and address needs to be posted so that artists across the nation can send him letters of thanks for his underwhelming support of the arts and culture.

  • Really sad!
